Mustapha Aliko believes Katsina United 0-4 defeat in the hands of Adamawa United in match day six fixture last weekend has put them on the edge to respond when they lock horns with MFM FC on Sunday.

The Match day seven fixture will hold at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina.

Aliko, one of the few players who joined Katsina United from Niger Tornadoes at the start of the 2019-20 Nigeria football season has been in blistering form.

Henry Makinwa side have amassed eight points from six games played and placed eleventh on the log while MFM are sixth on the log with eight points from five games played.

“The defeat in Adamawa is a wake up call for us and we must respond by beating MFM on Sunday,” Aliko told FreeKickNaija after Friday’s morning training season.

“Football is a dynamic game. Sometimes you get blown away and sometimes it goes well for you.

“We have corrected out mistakes and in the right frame of mind to face MFM. Last weekend defeat is behind us and we want to respond well at home against MFM with a comfortable win.

“MFM are a force to reckon with since the start of the season because of the results they have garnered on the road. Sunday game will be difficult but I no will get the three maximum points,” Aliko maintained.
