Players of Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Rivers United will receive a minimum One Million Naira (#1,000,000) if they win against Bloemfontein Celtic in Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg tie in Port Novo, Benin Republic.
The Nigerian business magnate, politician and philanthropist Bro. Felix Obuah in a statement in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, promised to pay Rivers United One Million Naira (#1,000,000) for a win and another Two Hundred Thousand Naira (#200,000) for each goal they score against the Siwelele.
You will recall that Bro Felix Obuah had promised players of Rivers United Two Million Naira (#2,000,000) for a win, One Million Naira (#1,000,000) for a draw and another Two Hundred Thousand Naira (#200,000) for each goal they score against the Siwelele in the first leg which the “Pride of Rivers” earned for themselves Two Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira for their 2-0 win in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
General Manager of Rivers United Chief Dr Okey Kpalukwu in his response thanked Bro Felix Obuah for his magnanimity and huge support to the team and promised the team will not disappoint come Saturday.
