Nigeria’s flag at the 2020 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) will not be flown once again in Cameroon after the Home based Super Eagles struggled to defeat the Sparrow Hawks of Togo 2-0 on Saturday in the return leg of the final round of the qualifers played at the Agege stadium, Lagos.

The Nigerian side who lost the first leg 4-1 in Lome, needed at least three unreply goals in the second leg, but that happened not to be the case, as Sikiru Alimi two goals was not enough.

Alimi netted the first goal in the 8 minute of the encounter and scored the second goal in the 67th minute.

The Togolese side progress at the expense of the Nigeria into the CHAN 2020 finals in Cameroon. More to follow.
