Golden Eaglets fight back to top Hungary in FIFA U-17 World Cup Opener

Nigeria Golden Eaglets made a remarkable come back twice on Saturday night to win their opening Group B match 4-2 against Hungary at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019.

The Hungarians took an early lead barely three minutes into the match but Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani converted a spot Kick in the 20th minute to level the scores.

The European side struck again only eight minutes after Tijani’s penalty goal – this time Samuel Major made a late, charging run into the center of the box and scorched the back of the net from 15 yards.

Three of Golden Eaglet goals in the 79th, 81st and 85th minutes were decisive for the five-time U-17 world champions.

Nigeria will face Ecuador on Tuesday for the second game
