KS Kastrioti of Albania midfielder Henry Okebugwu has expressed confidence in his teammates despite losing 2-1 to Tirana in their week 14 clash in the Albanian Kategoria Superiore.

Henry’s first half efforts was not enough to help his team avoid the defeat against Albanian champions Tirana as he was pulled out in the second half due to a hamstring injury.

Speaking to Freekicknaija after the game, Henry stated that his team started well, but factors like the weather condition contributed to their loss.

“We lost to Tirana and they are the current champions. This is not the first time playing against them. We played out a 1-1 draw in our home and this time we lost in their home. I think we have to give them the respect. We started the game very well and took the lead, but with the condition of the weather we conceded and later lost the game,” Henry said.

Kastrioti are currently 7th position on the log with 17 points from 14 games.

However, Henry believes there’s still hope for his team to finish top since the gap in points is not so much. Hear him: “Talking about the log, there’s no much difference between the teams playing in the Albania Super League.

Vllaznia is doing well and the are top, if we do well we can finish a bit higher. The season is still young and there is a lot to still play for. I am confident of my teammates and we have to keep up the good work and continue pushing.”

Henry who joined Kastrioti last year after his stint with FK Partizani ended has scored twice this season for his present club.

Kastrioti’s next game is against Teuta Durrës at home.
