Kano Pillars’ TC Coach Obinna Okafor delighted with NPFL Resumption

Following the removal of the restriction on football activities by the Federal Government through the COVID 19 Task Force, Technical Consultant of four times Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars, coach Obinna Okafor says he is happy that actions will soon resume across the country in  earnest.

Coach Okafor who took over the Technical aspects of Kano Pillars last year after his long spell in South Africa has also commeded the Sport Minister, Mr Sunday Dare for all the effort put in place for the federal government to give the node for league resumption.

“It is welcome development going by the way events turned out unexpectedly around the globe as a result of the pandemic. I am delighted that football activities are now set to resume because it has not been easy during the period of the lockdown.” he stated while speaking to www.freekicknaija.com.ng.

Coach Obinna had an eventful career in South Africa after he successfully managed clubs like Witbank Spurs FC, Cape Town All Stars, TS Galaxy FC, and Maritzburg United  (all in South Afric) among other clubs.

In another development. Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Participating Clubs have been invited to submit their respective licensing application which is a compulsory requirement for all clubs intending to participate in the 2020/21 NPFL season. This is further to the notification from the LMC to the clubs in a letter dated August 6, 2020.
