NPFL 2019/2020 Season: Warri Wolves players lament over deplorable condition
With less than 48 hours to the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League 2019-2020 season, grieve and lamentation is brewing in the camp of Warri Wolves over poor living conditions of their players going into the new season.
Warri Wolves is one of the four promoted clubs to the Nigeria apex football league after many attempts since their relegation to the lower division in 2016.
Now back at the top tier, and set to compete with other 19 club sides, the dreadful state of the club is even worse than it was.
A reliable source who chose to speak anonymously told www.freekicknaija.com.ng that the team is far from being ready going by the situation on ground.
“The situation here is an eyesore. Nothing is working right my brother. I have never seen such in my entire life. The players are being fed once a day and are meant to train in an empty stomach. How can you bring out the best in them. I do not really know how the club will fare in the league with this condition. Even the team bus often break down on the way to matches.” the source further stated.
