League Champion, Plateau United may be without their defensive power house, Andrew Ikefe reports FreeKickNaija.
Plateau United will host Kwara United in the Nigeria Professional Football League season opening game at the new Jos Stadium on Sunday.
A close source from Jos revealed to FreeKickNaija that the former Kwara United player was no where near the team’s training ground and his whereabout still unknown.”I can tell you authoritatively that, he (Ikefe) is not in Jos and have not been spotted around the teams training ground for few days now.”
No statement from the club as I speak with you on Ikefe’s absent,” the source said.
The source added: “Ikefe is a main stay in the team and will be mixed if he fails to show up. The reasons for his absent in camp may have been on personal reasons because no issue of injury was reported as at the last time he trained with the team.”
