Plateau United Football Club of Jos will continue their quest for a first victory as they confront former Champions , Enyimba International in Aba in a weekend tie of the Nigeria Professional Football League to be beamed live on television this Saturday.

The team which surprisingly lost one-nil to struggling Warri Wolves at the Delta State Polytechnic stadium, Ozoro last Wednesday, are poised for an immediate response as the face the People’s Elephant who are brimming with confidence after inflicting a two-one away victory over Nasarawa United in Lafia.

The match which promises to be an explosive one, will not come easy for the Peace boys who are yet to find their rhythm in the league after recording three victory, three lost and two draws in the right weeks old NPFL.

After recording a heartwarming one-nil win over the then unbeaten Nasarawa United of Lafia at the Jos international stadium, hopes of a good run was high , until the unexpected defeat in Ozoro which further sinked the team down to the tenth position on the league table.

Though the season is still young and anything can happen, Plateau United need to start picking away points in order stay in touch with other title contenders and keep hopes alive for a continental ticket at the end of the season.

With the team slowly getting to top form, the coach Abdu Maikaba tutored side need to keep working hard so as to hit the expected heights that will propel them to the summit of the league table where most of its supporters feel they rightly belong.

After a disappointing first leg, first round exit in the CAF Champions League, Plateau United have vowed to redeem their battered image in the league by securing another continental ticket, but so far results have not gone their way which is a cause for worry for the team’s teeming fans.

With virtually all their players in good shape except the two left backs of Daniel Itodo and Gabriel Wassa, Plateau United have enough Arsenal at their disposal to get a decent result in this encounter if only the team can get their act together.

That is why any player who get the coaches nod to start this crucial match must brace up for the challenges ahead as they will find Enyimba a hard nut to crack who are in great form at the moment.

A victory or a draw will do Plateau United a world of good in their battle to move the ladder on the league table.
