Plateau United in form defender, Andrew Ikefe has urged his teammates not to treat Nigeria Professional Football League match day six opponent, Kano Pillars with kids gloves.

Ikefe made this known to FreekickNaija.com.ng in an interview after his side morning training at the new Jos Stadium.

Plateau United have enjoyed good run of form in the five weeks old league sitting atop with 13 points from 5 games played while Kano Pillars are nineteenth on the log with 2 points from 4 games played.

“Underrate Pillars and get beaten.” “We understand their current position but we can’t afford to treat then with kids gloves come Sunday.

“We know their pedigree despite their poor run of form in the league. We can’t go to sleep and say we will beat the because they have not chunk in results since the start of the season.

“It a very big game for us (Plateau) and we are not losing sleep ahead of this game.

“My teammates and I have been discussing about this game and we are mentally and technically ready to add to Pillars misery,” Ikefe to FreeKickNaija.com.ng.
