‘A Big Honour To Wear The Captain Armband’, Says Moses Simon

Moses Simon, Super Eagles stand-in captain on match day 2 of the 2023 AFCON qualifier game against São Tomé and Principe says it a big honour for him to wear the captain armband to lead the country to an historic win on Monday afternoon.

Simon grabbed a goal in the 28th minute finishing from Victor Osimhen well tailored pass and aslo assisted Victor Osimhen in the 9th minute for the opening goal in the 10-0 win.

He made his debut for the Super Eagles against Uganda in 2015 and has made 53 appearances and scored7 goals.

Simon wrote on his social media(Twitter) handle to hail the historic win over São Tomé and Principe on Tuesday evening.
