One key challenge that may confront coach Augustine Eguavoen and his coaching staff at the forthcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations, is the issue of who plays the role of the number 10 for the team.
Eguavoen has few options before him from the 28 he invited for the competition.
However, the decision he make regarding that position would go a long way to determine the success of the team at the tournament that is slated to begin on January 9th.
In the course of yesterday’s media session, Augustine Eguavoen appears to have made up his mind to draft CSK Moscow winger, Chidera Ejuke to play the role of number ten.
“The creative role is where the team has been lacking. Lately, we have found Ejuke but if it is not working, we may have to change our tactic” Eguavoen was quoted as saying.
I believe Ejuke has what it takes to excel in that position if Eguavoen and his coaching staff decided to deploy him to play the role.
The 23-year-old creative midfielder is well known for his dribbling abilities and has equally set the Russian League alight with his skills by maneuvering his markers with ease.
Chidera Ejuke might just be the player the Super Eagles has been longing to operate in that position.
