Head Coach of Akwa United FC, John Obuh has resigned his position with the promise keepers with just eight games into the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The former Nigeria under 17 gaffer announced his resignation on Monday morning following series of poor results in the ongoing season.
A statement from Akwa Utd media department say they have accepted Obuh’s resignation with mixed feelings.
John Obuh under his reign, won only one game, drew four and lost three defeat since joining the side at the beginning of the season.
Meanwhile, the management of Akwa United have placed Ndifreke Effiong on suspension over improper conduct during their league game in Agege.
