Charges Nnewi United to end season well

It was a busy weekend for the Anambra state FA chairman Chikelue Iloenyosi who felicitated with Chief Remigius Uchenna Anyadike as he was on ground to kickoff the first match of the second season of RemmyUche Soccer Challenge Cup between Galaxy FC of Onitsha and defending Champion Jimbaz FC Ihiala that ended in favor of the later 4-0.

General who was a special guest of honor was happy at the level of organization, gave his blessings for the tournament as he urged other well meaning Anambrarians to emulate Akuchukwu in bringing joy and hope to our youth.

Accompanying the Capacity Chairman were the Vice Chairman of Anambra state Football Association, Victor Aniekwena, board member Cordelia Akanna, SSA to the Chairman, Ifeanyichukwu Ojukwu, Proprietor of Mekon United, Amb Joseph Afusi, Chairman of Ihiala LFC, Michael Mbazue (JIMBAZ), Chairman of Onitsha South LFC, Larry Akanna, Chairman of Njikoka LFC, Com. Dubem Onubuiyi, Amechi Nwakaeze PA, Myckie Chukwuebuka SA on media among other important dignitaries.

Still about today, In a meeting, The General commended the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria for their unrelenting efforts in seeing that there are competitions at the grassroot within specific time. He also pledged that his administration will consciously work with YSFON to make grassroot competitions more vibrant. The Chairman also graced the finals of the Igwe Nanka YSFON U-17 Cup that took place at the Awka City Stadium between eventual winners Ozalla FA and Hopeland Nnewi were he did the kickoff as well and presented medal of honor by the state Chairman of YSFON Engr Akonam Obiefuna.

On Saturday, just few hours after touching down Anambra from Lagos the place of the NFF AGA. The Capacity Chairman was in work mood as he identified with Anambra Independent Football League on their season finale matchday. The AIFL is the only active league competition in the state and such made the Chairman to see the importance of being with them. He eulogized the tenacity of AIFL council Chairman, Fr Obinna Dike and other members of the council. He charged them not to relent in making football great again in the state and assured them of his administrative support always.

From Awka, the Chairman was at Rojenny stadium Oba to cheer Nnewi United on in their match against promotion chasing Bayelsa United. It was a frentic affair that unfortunately had nothing to separate both sides as it ended all square. While commenting on the outcome of the game, the FA Chairman commended the efforts of both teams and charged the Anaedo Warriors to end the season on a high in their final game of the season away to Crown FC of Ogbomosho. He equally praised the proprietor of Nnewi United, Mr Jude for his tremendous show of passion while assuring him of better synergy between the FA and all league sides in the state come next season.
