Bala Praises Team Despite 1-0 Defeat To Gombe United

Niger Tornadoes hopes of picking an away point for the first time in the league suffered a major blow against Gombe United on match day 8 of the Nigeria Professinal Football League on Monday evening.

Abdulazeez Yusuf 11 minutes strike dented the visitors hope of securing a point at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe.

However, the technical adviser of Niger Tornadoes Abubakar Bala has praised his side despite the 1-0 defeat.

Bala while reacting to his team defeat after the final whistle said he was satisfied with his boys performance but will go back home and work on the lapses noted.

“The boys gave good account of themselves despite the defeat,” said Bala.

“I’m satisfied with the performance of my boys today (yesterday) but we couldn’t take our chances in the final third.

“We’ll go back and look at the weak areas and find a way of correcting them before our next home game.”

Niger Tornadoes will on Sunday welcome Akwa United to the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja in match day 9 fixture.
