Bar. Nlemigbo wins PFAN Award of Excellence for July

Dr. Victoria Nlemigbo Esq, has emerged winner of the excellent performance award by the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) for July edition.

The announcement was made by PFAN General Secretary, Emmanuel Babayaro (MON), in a statement, which also announced the Delta State PFAN as the PFAN office of the month award for July 2021.

The Founder and President, Women Football AlStars Association of Nigeria (WOFAAN) was found worthy of the inaugural award for her immense contribution and bank of ideas that have further driven the Association to achieving more successes.

The Director, Women Directorate, PFAN emerged the unanimous choice of all 60 voters that participated in the process of choosing the winner for the month of July.

She was honoured at the PFAN office in Abuja on Monday the 2nd of August 2021, by the Association’s National President, Tijani Babangida MON (ex international) and National General Secretary, Emmanuel Babangida MON, as the award was personally presented by the owner and CEO of Ruzu, the sponsor of the award.

The statement reads partly, “The President Tijani Babangida MON congratulates the winners of the PFAN Monthly Award of Excellence, Dr Mrs Victoria Nlemigbo esq and the Delta State PFAN . The President is proud to identify with the women as they take the lead per excellence.

“The President also congratulates the award nominees and their exemplary sacrifices for the union while urging the rest of the members to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and sense of duty as we continue to rebrand PFAN.

“The President also praised the very professional job done by the secretariat of the Awards Committee, PFAN should indeed be proud of the caliber of great comrades we possess.

“The President was particularly very happy with the great response of our members during the voting as more than 60 votes were recorded , while he believes we shall do better next time, he was ecstatic to hear that the FCT PFAN and Delta PFAN were head to head until the last 10 minutes before votes close. A situation that saw Delta defeat Abuja by a loan vote.

“The President Tijani Babangida MON did not forget the sponsor of our maiden award RUZU WHOLISTIC HEALTHCARE LTD.”

While thanking them for aligning with PFAN at this stage, he assures them of great dividends to come from this partnership.

In her remarks, the former head of Women Football in the FCT FA thanked the Association for bestowing her with such honour while noting that it will help spur other members to do more for the Association.
