The Ekiti State Football Association Chairman, Bayo Olanlege says football is more than “Recreation” as widely viewed in Ekiti State.
Olanlege made this revelation recently why speaking to Sport Writers in Ado-Ekiti why football should be seen as a profitable venture rather than recreation alone.
The astute football administrator pointed out that there is need to take football serious in the State and urged Sport Writers to key-in in making this come to reality.
“Football is a big business,” said the soft spoken Olanlege.”It is when we understand the economic importance’s of football in Ekiti State, we will no longer take it for recreational purpose.”Football will no longer be seen as a recreation alone in Ekiti but as other sector that contributes to the internally generated revenue as well as economic development of the State,” He concluded.
