CAF Champions League: Pillars must bury Kotoko in Kano, says Bature Yaro

Super Eagles and Kano Pillars attacking winger, Bature Yaro says Nigerians should expect nothing short of victory when they take on Ghanaian Asante Kotoko in Caf Champions League first leg preliminary round on Saturday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano

Kano Pillars last featured in the 2014-15 Champions League and failed to go beyond the first round.

Yaro told www.freekicknaija.com.ng in an exclusive interview that Kotoko will be sent back with bag full of goals so as to make the second leg tie easier and boost their chances of making it to the stage.

“Am very confident we (Pillars) will beat Asante Kotoko not undermining their pedigree on the continent.

“We know their past records but past records doesn’t play football because we don’t look to the past.”

When asked how does it feel to play on the continent, Yaro replied: “It always a good feeling representing your country.

“We cannot afford to let ourselves down, the people of Kano State and the entire country on Saturday evening.

“We are fully prepared and everyone is in good shape and rearing to go,” Said Yaro.
