CAFCC: ‘We Must Keep The Momentum,’ says Baylesa United Wisdom Magbisa

Bayelsa United attacking winger, Wisdom Magbisa has charged his teammates to keep the ‘Momentum’ after their emphatic 4-2 win over Ashanti Golden Boys of Guinea on Sunday evening.

The one legged CAF Confederation Cup first round preliminary tie was decided at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Yenagoa.

Goals from Favour Martins, Emo James and a brace from Okardi Inikurogha saw the Restoration Boys booked a place to the second round playoff against African giants, CS Sfaxien of Tunisia.

Magbisa told FreekickNaija.com.ng in an exclusive interview that the mind set now is to keep the momentum going.

“It was a fantastic atmosphere, a fantastic game. “I’m very happy to have represented my State team for the first time on the continent,” said Magbisa.

“It was amazing in my home town were I started my career knowing my family, friends and fans shouting my name, It was a great feeling.

“I remember how we were knocked out in the first round why playing for FC Ifeanyi Ubah on the continent few years ago but this time around am happy we are through to the second round and it a plus to my career.

The former Remo Stars player stated that his side were the more better side and should have won by a larger goal margin.

“We were really good and dominated play. We were the better team, I think we’ve got a chance to compete and that’s we did on Sunday.

“We hope to have a good performance in our subsequent games to be able to win with big margin and keep the momentum,” Magbisa maintained.
