Crisis ridden FC Ifeanyi Ubah suffer first home defeat after a Long run

FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday suffered their first home defeat in the Nigeria Professional Football League since 2019 against Heartland FC in Nnewi .

The Anambra Warriors lost to Dakkada FC curtsey of Nnamdi Mejuobi goal in the 29th minute of action.

Nnamdi Mejuobi had a brief stint with FC Ifeanyi Ubah before moving to Dakakada FC this season.FC Ifeanyi Ubah home lost is linked to the crisis rocking the team owned by Billionaire Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

It was learnt that the team struggled to prepare for their second home game, the team after winning their first home game are yet to get their #15,000 winning bonus against Lobi Stars after two weeks.

The coach of the team, Uche Okagbue went missing before the game on Sunday, it was discovered that he went back to his village to source for food and fund for upkeeps since nothing is coming out of the club .

The team couldn’t train well before the game because they have nothing to eat before the game. One of the players who spoke after the game said that he is lost against Dakkada is not of their making, he said ” how do you want us to play well with an empty stomach and no motivation? This our team dont have structure, I pray to secure a move away from here sooner ”

A last minute effort to provide feeding allowance for the players that were dressed for Dakkada game could not pull through hence the players attributed the result to the financial crisis rocking the team.

The attempt by players of FC Ifeanyi Ubah to meet senator Ifeanyi Ubah to place home their demands was turned down by the aspiring 2021 Governor of Anambra state.

There are lots of distrust inbetween the players, coaching staff and the management staff of the team as many has tendered their resignation letters. The distrust is connected to various promises made to the players and staff by the management, of which none has been fulfilled. One of the oldest player in the team said that he has not receive salary as an FC Ifeanyi Ubah player for up to 4 times since 2018.
