Draw against Heartland is a temporary setback, says Biffo

By JohnPaul Nnamdi

Kwara United coach Biffo Abdullahi has described the draw against Heartland as a temporary setback for his team in their quest to maintain the top spot on the log of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Biffo stated this after his side were held to a goalless draw by visiting Naze Millionaires in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 15 encounter at the Ilorin Township stadium.

Despite the draw, Kwara United are still first on the league table even though they are tied on points with Rangers.
β€œAt this point when we find ourselves on top of the log, we have to do everything possible to maintain it and not to drop. But dropping two points at home today is a temporary setback because we have just played 15 out of 38 games,” said Biffo.
He also stressed that his lads will be cautious of the remaining games and learn lessons from their mistakes.

β€œI think it is a lesson for us. This game will teach us the lesson that we are not there yet and we need to double our efforts because any team that is coming to play against us now will try to stop us.”

Kwara United have garnered 27 points from 15 games and will be on the road to Kano Pillars in the next round to the NPFL.
