After some impressive performance so far from the U17 golden eaglets in Ghana, ex Olympic team and Golden Eaglet Assistant Coach Nnamdi Onuigbo, popularly called the Winning Coach, has urged the team to keep their foot on the ground, and remain focused.

In his words
“The boys are determined and playing with fire in their belly. They are also well coached as we can see. However in football every single minute and every single detail matters. The players and the very experienced coaching crew must remain focused to ensure they maintain high performances till the end and secure nations cup qualification like we did last year. For sure the quality is there. That is clear”

When also asked how he got his nickname “the Winning Coach”, he answered “I won every youth tournament from U13- u17 level in Edo State, I also won Edo State League (NLO Div 3) twice and gained promotion, I also became the youngest ever coach to win the FA CUP in Edo State in 2016 and I did it with a youth team.

“We defeated Bendel Insurance FC and all the other professional sides.

” I won everything and thats how I earned the name the WINNING COACH. Nnamdi Onuigbo has since then served as assistant to both Samson Siasia and Fatai Amoo in their Silver Winning feat in the WAFU B U17 AFCON Qualifying tournament in Togo in 202.
