Ekiti FA Chairman To Visit All Local Football Councils

With the conclusion of the much anticipated NFF AGA/Elective Congress over the weekend, the Chairman of the Ekiti State Football Association, Mr. Bayo Olanlege has concluded plans to visit all the Local Football Councils across the sixteen local governments of the State.

In a memo sent to all local councils by the FA Secretary, Mr. Pelumi Abaira revealed that the Ekiti FA supremo will love to have a deliberations with football stakeholders ranging from sports coordinator for primary and secondary schools, referees society, coaches association, local club owners, sport officer from the local government, players union, and Red Cross Society of Nigeria.

He further informed that the theme of the visitation would be; “Building a viable football culture in EkitiFootball Ecosystem using the LFCs as the fulcrum”.

Other parts of his visiting plans comprise of the establishment of referees society in some of the LFCs in the state that has none, strengthening of coaches association in LFCs, having a viable and working media amongst other pressing issues.

The aim is to strengthen football administration in the grassroots as part of the efforts to build a sustainable football culture in the state before the Bayo-Olanlege administration leaves office at the end of his tenure in May next year.
