Ekiti FA Count Gains Of Prof. Akin Oyebode All Secondary School Football Cup

The Ekiti State Football Association, EKSFA has listed the discovery of more young football talents at earliest possible age and etching the importance of education, team work and the spirit of sportsmanship on the minds of the school lads amongst other gains of the Prof. Akin Oyebode All Ekiti State Secondary Schools Football Competition.

The FA claimed that about two hundred (200) secondary schools and more than five thousand (5,000) secondary school students were engaged meaningfully during the period the competition lasted.

Recall that scholarship awards from the sponsor to were awarded to outstanding players and a coach unearthed during the tournament.

Other positives scooped from the competition according to a report by the association included the forty (40) gamesmasters that were discovered, trained and certificated through the Ekiti State FA/LaLiga Nigeria Coaching Clinic, just as the best coach was offered a scholarship to Nigeria Institute for Sports in Lagos to obtain his Advance Diploma Certificate in Coaching.

Moving on in the Ekiti State Football Association’s calendar for 2022, Wednesday 20th of April, 2022, the State league, designated the Bet9ja Ekiti Football League will commence at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti.

The Ekiti State Football Association approved the date after confirming that the twenty (20) teams – grouped into two (2) logs of ten (10) teams each have satisfied the digital licensing and registration process.

In the fixtures made available to the teams early Monday morning, matches in the State league will be played weekly for the next fourteen weeks.
