Ekiti NYSC Football Team Begins Title Defense Of DG’s Cup With Zonal Elimination Playoff In Sagamu
Ekiti National Youth Service Corp, NYSC football team will on Sunday begun their title defense of the NYSC Director General’s cup.
Team Ekiti won the 2021 edition in Abuja and have been zoned to play in Sagamu, Ogun State center.
Head coach of Team Ekiti, Kehinde Anjorin told FreekickNaija moment before departure on Saturday morning in Ado-Ekiti that they are well prepared and ready to defend the title they won last year.
“It not going to be an easy one but we are very ready to defend the title we won last year,” said Anjorin.
“The first step is to make it out of the elimination round then straight to the national level. We know what await us because other States teams won’t be easy to go pass but my lads are in perfect shape to achieve the task ahead.”
The Kehinde Anjorin led side will slug it out with team Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Osun and Kwara NYSC.
The zonal elimination playoff will start on Sunday 29th and run through the 2nd of June 2022 with the winner representing the zone at the national level.
