Ekiti Sports’ Council Acting Chairperson, Osetoba Renews Committement To Boost Ekiti Football Association, Advocates More Female Participation

The leadership of the Ekiti State Sports Council led by the newly appointed acting Chairperson, Chief Mrs Olusola Osetoba has promised a joint collaboration with the Ekiti State Football Association, EKSFA to further develop football in the grassroots.

Receiving a delegation of the Ekiti FA comprising, Board members, Coaches Association, Players Union, Media And Supporters club on a courtesy visit to her office within the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, Mrs Osetoba assured the council will work with the Association to soar higher in our State.

A key presence within the ecosystem of the Ekiti FA, the acting Chairperson maintained that she is still available to work in different capacities during the Programmes of the Football Association in Ekiti, Urging her board to give Ekiti FA the maximum support while attesting to the diligence and creativity of the Bayo Lanlege EKSFA.

She further called on the FA to do more especially in the grassroots and increased activities for females in football.

The Chairman of Ekiti State Football Association, Mr. Bayo Lanlege while responding expressed excitement and joy of the football body for the appointment of Chief Mrs. Osetoba, appreciating the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for using personalities within the sports circle to govern activities in the management of sports.

He explained that it will be of enormous benefit for the chairperson to be a loud voice to encourage more female participation in football in Ekiti
State with as much female population as the male.

Chief Mrs Olusola Osetoba is the patroness of Emure LFC, the director of logistics of the national JKF U17 championship and has served in several committees of Ekiti FA.
