Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs Babafemi Praises Organisers Of Professor Akin Oyebode U-15 Football Competition

Ekiti State Head of service, Mrs Peju Babafemi has lauded the initiative of the Professor Akin Oyebode U-15 Competition for boys and girls and commended the efforts of the Ekiti State Football Association for committing so much efforts to stage the tournament in a grand style.

Mrs Babefemi, a patron of the Ekiti FA is particularly delighted that ‘promising girls’ were the given a platform to shine with the female category of the competition, enthusiastically praising the sponsors of the competition especially Ekiti State Commisioner of Finance and Economic Development, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode for championing the cause of girl child through this Football tournament.

During a interaction with the secretary of the organizing committee of the competition, Pelumi Abiara the number one civil servant in Ekiti disclosed that she has been so far delighted following the updates from the tourney, expressing an immense joy that more girls in the State have now being brought on a profitable pathway in life.

“Football like other sports has a way to build the mental capacity and instill life skills such resilience, strength, dedication, hardwork, team spirit and all in these girls which can guide them to become very successful in life even outside of football.”

The head of service showered encomiums on the present leadership of the Ekiti State Football Association led by Mr Bayo Olanlege for vigorously and zealously pursuing discovery and development of talents in the locals, urging them to surge ahead and remains focused on their goals.

She prayed that God will continue to guide and strengthen them to overcome the myriads of challenges on the road to achieving success.

Ahead of the finals tomorrow, she wished all the teams best of luck and injury free contests.
