Ekiti State Sports Council Seek Partnership With Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti On Sports Development

Inline to enhance sports development in Ekiti State, The Sports Council earlier on Tuesday paid a working visit to the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti to further cement it working synergy in area of sports development within the institution.

The Council which was received by the Deputy Rector (Academics) Dr. Olusegun D. Dada on behalf of the Rector, Engr. Dayo Hephzibah Oladebeye appreciated the council for the timely visit to the Institution in it stand to promote sports development.

The Chairman of the State Sports Council, Mrs Osetoba Olusola in her opening address thanked the Rector of the Polytechnic for finding time to received the council him is office.

“Our visit is to further smoothened the relationship that have existed between your institution and the Sports Council in terms of sports development.

“We are looking at areas were students of this great citadel of learning can participate in sporting activities of the council and hosting sporting events in the Institution.

“We are proud to tell you that the Sports Council have benefitted in using some of your facilities in not only hosting sporting events but training of athletes and coaches.

“We believed that this visit will further bond the Sport Council and the Institution in area of sports development.”

The Rector, Dr Dada appreciated the council’s efforts in areas of sports development.

“Our Institution hold sports in high esteem. Recalled we came tops at the NIPOGA games in ilorin the last time the games was held.

“We promised to work in synergy with the Sports Council to fast track sport development among students of the Institution.

“Our Institution attract sportsmen in Ekiti State and beyond. We will continue to to be partners in progress, we are so proud of you.”

The Chairman Sports Committee of the Polytechnic, Dr Ayeni Oluwole Israel also stated that the relationship between the Sports Council and the Institution has been mutual and it will continue to be mutual.

“We appreciate your effort and there won’t be problem working in synergy with the Polytechnic.”

In his closing remarks on behalf of the sports Council, General Manager of the Ekiti State Sports Council , Deji Samo thanked the Polytechnic for it continued cooperation with the Sports Council.

“We looked forward to having a good working relationship, Samo maintained.

In attendance were the Ekiti State Sports Council board members, Hon Akinlabi Francis, Hon. Ojo Oluwadare, Hon. Oyebode Tanwa and Ajibola Adenike (information officer).
