Ekiti United FC road mishap: ‘It was like a dream and terrifying’ – Peniel Tersor

Goalkeeper Peniel Tersor has described Ekiti United road mishap like a “dream and terrifying” while returning from training on Tuesday evening along Ikere-Ado road.

Tersor who joined Ekiti United at the beginning of the 20-21 Nigeria National League Season after after unsuccessful spell with home-town club Lobi Stars.

Ayodeji Ayeni’s side were preparing for this weekend game against Rovers of Calabar but the game has been called off to allow Ekiti United players gain full recovery.

“It was like a dream and terrifying,” Tersor told FreekickNaija.

“I (Tersor) thought it was my last day but I knew my covenant with God will never change for me to die young. I can’t explained how it all happened but I praise God for keeping me and my teammates alive.

Tersor while recounting the moment that led to the accident said when the bus skid off the road and fell on it side, I thought it was the end of the world for me.

“I was terrified. A lot of thoughts ran through my mind, my family and how will I die young without fulfilling my career in football.

“A day I will never forget in my life,” said the former Jeunesse Sportive D’ Agonlin FC, Benin Republic goalkeeper.
