Ekiti United Players Protest Over Unpaid Match Allowances

Ekiti United players on Friday morning took to the Street to express displeasure over unpaid match allowances and
delay in their monthly salaries according to report gather on EUfc Media.

After minutes of interface with the players, the team captain, Emmanuel Oyebade on behalf of other players frowned at the delay in the payment of their monthly salaries and non-payment of their match allowances by the management.

The players also complained about
the accommodation secured while in Nnewi, Anambra State for the week 19 game against Nnewi United.

“We urged the management to accord more importance to our welfare and upkeep in a bid to spur us towards fighting till the end of the season for the much desired Nigeria National League Super 8,” said the players.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Ekiti State, Mr Micheal Awopetu addressed the players and shed light on some of the salient issues affecting the welfare of the team.

In the meantime, the monthly salaries of the players were paid before the close of work today (yesterday) as promised by the Sport Commissioner who also commended the players for their unquantifiable commitment and sacrifices towards ensuring the realization of the vision of Ekiti State football enthusiasts to have a premier league team.

Also paid to the players was 50% of their allowances while the club secretary, Ayodeji Olowolafe assured that the remaining 50% allowances will be paid in the next two weeks.

He also assured that all outstanding allowances will be paid during the off-season.
