Enugu Rangers Are At Home At Nnewi ~ Hon Tony Manfred

The Honourable commissioner of Sports , Enugu state, Honourable Tony Manfred on Sunday after an emphatic win of Enugu Rangers over MFM FC of Lagos at FC Ifeanyi Ubah stadium described the new home ground as a welcome home for the Antelopes.

Enugu Rangers are currently using FC Ifeanyi Ubah International stadium Nnewi as the home ground since the season began. The traditional home ground , Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium Enugu ( The Cathedral) is undergoing a face lift and hence while Nnewi became the new found home ground.

In his words, Hon Tony Manfred said ” We are comfortably at home in Nnewi, you can see the fans here cheering us up, even though it won’t be compared to what we have at Enugu whenever Rangers play, Rangers is a pan Igbo brand and beyond, and we are not lacking support in Nnewi” on the issue of the on going face lifting project at the traditional home ground Enugu, Hon Tony also acknowledged that works are going well at a good speed and that the aged fans and others will see the team return to Enugu once works are completed.

Enugu Rangers are currently third on table in the league with 11 points .
