Enyimba 1-1 Niger Tornadoes: ‘It Was A Special Evening Against Enyimba’ – Abubakar Bala

Niger Tornadoes manager Abubakar Bala hailed a “special evening” after his side were forced to a 1-1 draw by former league champions, Enyimba Int’l FC.

The Ikon Allah boys got off to a good start when Kabiru Adeniji broke the deadlock after the half-hour mark when his clever touch inside the box was deflected by Oluwatosin Adegbite’s leg to put the visitors ahead.

Austin Oladapo 45th minute penalty restored parity for the host to end the interval 1-1.

“A difficult place to come and pick a result,” said Bala. “It a special evening.”

He added: “We knew how difficult it would be, it was a very difficult game against a big team like Enyimba, you can see how the boys fought very hard. We didn’t think it would be an easy game coming here (Aba) to pick a point.

“I praised them for sustaining the pressure, this is now our third game unbeaten in the league and we hope to sustain the momentum.”

Niger Tornadoes will next host Nasarawa United on Wednesday at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
