Ex Super Eagles gaffer Austin Eguavoen gets coaching role in Mali

After several years of being out of job, Nigerian coach Austin Eguavoen has finally get a coaching role with Malien de Bamako of Mali.

Reports has it that Augustine Eguavoen (55) is expected to arrive in Mali tomorrow (Tuesday) to take over the head coach role of giants Stade Malien de Bamako.

Coach Eguavoen served as head coach of the Super Eagles  at the 2006 African Cup of Nations  in Egypt, where he won a bronze medal with the team.

He assisted Lars Largerback at 2010 World Cup and took over briefly from the Swede for two matches late 2010 before his former Eagles teammate Samson Siasia was appointed.

Aside from Super Eagles experience, Eguavoen also coached Bendel Insurance, Sharks FC, Nigeria U17 and U23.
