By: Johnpaul Nnamdi

Nigerian forward Francis Momoh scored twice as Grasshopper Club Zürich recorded a 0-2 away victory over Lausanne at the Stade de la Tuiliere, Lausanne on Saturday.

Momoh grabbed his first goal of the season in the colours of the Blauweiss with the opener 28 minutes into the game and completed the brace in the second half.

The former Heartland striker lasted 85 minutes as the Grasshoppers returned to winning ways after a seven-match winless streak that saw them record three defeats and four draws.

“I’m very happy that I was able to score today. And of course to help the team to get back on track,” said Momoh after the game.
Grasshoppers are currently in the sixth position on the log with 28 points from 21 games played and will welcome second-placed Young Boys in the next fixture.
