Gambo Muhammad ends 12 years spell at Kano Pillars

Kano Pillars FC captain, Gambo Muhammad has left the Sai Masu Gida side after 12 years of service in search of new adventure.

The longest serving player for the Kano team was reported to have disagreed with the recommendations of the club’s technical crew to embark on a coaching course at the National sports Institute, (NIS).

Gambo believes he has more to offer on the pitch hence his decision not to accept the club’s offer to retain him as one of their coaching staff upon the completion of the course.

Reacting on behalf of Gambo Muhammad, his Manager Muhammad Saminu Asesa disclosed that both side agreed to go their separate ways on mutual understanding.

Gambo was closed to joining an Indian club last season but the deal was later canceled.

He won Four Nigeria Professional Football League titles with Kano Pillars and wrapped it up with 2019 Aiteo Cup title held in July.
