I Have The Experience To Help Super Eagles Defeat Ghana – Onazi

Midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi is one of the seven players that have been placed on stand-by by Super Eagles Interim manager Austine Eguavoen ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers Playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana.

Onazi’s inclusion in the 32 man provisional roaster that was released on Friday has been drawing some criticism from some fans.

Some people are of the opinion that Onazi does not merit his place in the squad.

However, speaking in an interview with OmaSports, Onazi stated that his experience will count against Ghana even though he has not been in the national team for two years

According to him, what matters the most is experience.

“When I received a phone call from the coach, he stressed how vital it is – and I agree that it is quite crucial. We’ll need a lot of experience to be successful in this game. It’s not a game where you have to explain where you play, where you’re from, or what you’re doing.” Onazi told Omasports
