‘I Thought We Have Gone Past The Era Of Must Win At Home Syndrome’ – Bala Nkiyu

Nasarawa United gaffer, Bala Nkiyu has expressed disappointment after his side 3-2 defeat to Plateau United in the Nigeria Professinal Football League match day 7 on Wednesday evening.

Nkiyu was of the view that is side wouldn’t have lost but because of the must win at home denied them of picking a point in Jos.

Uche Ihuarulam first half strike and Michael Tochukwu stoppage time penalty were not enough to secure the solid miners all the three points.

“I thought we have gone past the era of must win at home syndrome if you watched the game,” said dejected Nkiyu.

“The game did not reflect what people expected. The attitude wasn’t what the game should, it was more like a physical fight.

“Today’s (yesterday’s) result will not have any impact on our ambition this season because the league is still very young.”
