Warri Wolves forward Uche Ihuarulam is set to lead his team against his former employers, Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the Match Day three encounter of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Speaking in a exclusive interview with Freekicknaija, Ihuarulam noted that he will face his former team without any emotional attachments, stressing that he will simply do his job on the pitch.

“We are going to Lobi Stars which is my former team. I am going there to play my normal game and I believe that we will have a positive result. It is a familiar terrain for me and I hope to lead my team to get a good result in Makurdi.

It is not going to be an emotional game because at least I have played against Lobi Stars several times after leaving them. I will just do my best.”

Ihuarulam’s 83 minutes goal helped Warri Wolves secure a home win over visiting Adamawa United in week two.

He joined the Seasiders from Sunshine Stars where he played before the league ended abruptly due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Warri Wolves are currently 9th on thr log with three points from two games.
