Isiaka Olawale Opens Up On Why He Joined Crown FC

Former Beach (Sand) Eagles captain, Isiaka Olawale has revealed why he joined Crown FC of Ogbomosho.

Olawale pitched tent with the Ajilete boys at the beginning of the 2020-21 Nigeria National League Season.

The attacking midfielder who is well known in the Nigeria football league circle haven’t stirred for Kwara Stars, Katsina United, Lobi Stars, Dolphins FC and El-kanemi Warriors.

Speaking exclusively to FreekickNaija, Olawale explained he wanted to be closer to his family which informed is decision to join the Ogbomosho based club.

“Many clubs wanted me but I opted for Crown FC because I wanted to be close to my family,”Isiaka said.

“Crown was the best I could join considering a lot of factors and my career at this stage. I came here because I wanted to play for them.

“My State to Ogbomosho is not far and I believe me joining Crown will add a lot of value to the team and my little experience will count.

”Am here to help the young players in the team and aim promotion. They (Crown) have good young players and gond technical crew league led by (Oladunni) Oyekale and (Waheed) Bello.”

Olawale further revealed he had no regret opting to play in the second tier (Nigeria National League) of Nigerian football despite advances from top Nigeria Professional Football League clubs.

“Playing in the second tier of the league is nothing, my former team (El-Kanemi) were also playing in the second tier before the pandemic.

“The different is just the name, we are playing the same round object.”
