Gombe United Football Club safe hands, Itodo Akor has stated that his club have put the 2-1 defeat they suffered against Lobi Stars in the ongoing 2021-2022 Nigeria Professional Football League tie that was decided yesterday at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.
The experience goalkeeper who was in goal for the Savannah Scorpions disclosed to Freekicknaija that the Weather wasn’t friendly with them.
According to him, the result wasn’t a reflection of the game as they gave their all during the tie.
“Makurdi weather wasn’t friendly to us due to the hot condition. We had the game in control and played good football.” he said.
Speaking ahead of their tie against Katsina United on Sunday, Itodo stated that he would ensure he keep a clean sheets when they coming visiting. He also stressed the importance of the game at hand.
” I promised to put my best performances they Katsina United visit us this Sunday. The game is a must win for us because we all know the important of the game to our league ambition.” he concluded.
