Kehinde Anjorin Delighted To Participate In First-ever Coaches’ Instructors Course In Nigeria

The chairman Ekiti State Football Coaches Association, Kehinde Anjorin has expressed delight to have participated in the first-ever Coaches’ Instructors Course which took place last week in Abuja.

The one week course had in attendance 33 top football coaches from across Nigeria and notably, Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, himself a qualified coach and one of the instructors.

Anjorin on his arrival from Abuja told FreekickNaija.com.ng in an exclusive interview in Ado-Ekiti that it was a wonderful experience and glad to be part of the instructors course.

“Personally, this course means a lot to me,” said the CAF licenced instructor.

“Now I can lecture coaches though a coach is a teacher. I want coaches to come up just like we did, when we have more coaches in the game that are well trained, it helps the game.

“Football is dynamic as we wake up daily, the game changes. There’s dynamism in the game so we change with the trend of the game most especially the technological aspect of football is a thing we must rise up to in Nigeria.

Anjorin further stated that he will use the knowledge gained theoritically and practically to help impact and nurture coaches in Ekiti State.

“Since I returned back from Abuja, have been telling my coaches were you left coaching, you can not meet it there now that you train yourself.

“Now that we’ve so many coaches going to the Nigeria Institute of Sports, NIS. So many that have obtained C licence, my duty is to encourage them to do more.

“Occasionally we will be having train the trainer coaching clinic here in Ekiti for our coaches so that they can be up there because this will impact positively on the game most especially the grassroots,” Anjorin enthused.
