Kids who participated at the just concluded Kids Summer Sports Fun Fare has charged the Chairman, Ekiti State Sports Council, Hon. Mrs Olusola Osetoba to do more in organising programs of this kind.
The first Kiddies Summer Sports Fun Fare program organized by the Sports Council and in collaboration with LEEBAF Foundation, UK was held at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti last week Tuesday.
The Kiddies Summer Sports Fun Fare program witnessed kids from within and outside Ado-Ekiti took part in various games.
The ecstatic kids while speaking with the media aide to chairman, Gbenga Adeleye revealed that they are excited to participate in the summer sports fun fare and urged Hon. Mrs Osetoba not to relent in organising more of these programs for kids in the States.
“I feel so excited to have come here to showcase my skills in handball. “Programs like this will help me to develop and nurture my dream to become the best as an handball player,” said 15 years old Olanrewaju Kabirat.
7-year-old Babatunde Victor said it was a great outing for him.
“The Kiddies Summer Sports Fun Fare will help me to develop my career as an athlete.
“I learnt a lot today (last Tuesday). As a kid who is taking up athletic as sports. I want the organisers to do more by coming up with more programs that will help me build and nurture my career as an athlete,” Victor maintained.
“I love racing and I will like the Sports Council to organise this kind of events again,” saidOlowolafe Wuraola.
Kids who participated in the summer sports were exposed to various sports (Track and Field, Dart, Handball, Football, Volleyball and Basketball).
