Kogi-born coach emerges most sought-after youth manager, gets 3-year deal in India

Kogi-born coach, Musa Hussaini Ibrahim, has secured a 3-year-deal with Indian outfit, Scoreline Sports Football Academy, Kerala

Coach Ibrahim who has become the most sort after youth manager in Asian country was handed a 3-year- deal in what would be his second spell with the club.

The Nigerian made a name for himself in Kerala, where he coached in the 2018/19 season as the head coach of the elite team u13s and u15s.

His tactical gear was sound enough to have conquered the All Indian Football Federation (AIFF) baby league, winning the u9 and u13 category unbeaten. He also led the team that came 2nd (runner) up in the u11 category.

In addition, the former Head Coach, Al Gharbia Sports Club Abu Dhabi UAE led same team to win the C division championship and qualified the u18s to the B division.

With the dominance of the Kogi-born, his sound coaching and mentorship, the Kerela team was named the best academy in grassroots development for 2 years in a row.

During his first reign with the youth club, the interest In football in the huge state of Kerala, India rose significantly.

Reacting to his new job, the CAF C licensed coach said, “I’m super excited to return to where I refer to as my second home.

“It’s an honour to return and continue from where I left off years ago.”

He added that “I was welcomed well the first time. We made lots of history and created memories. The players’ parents were so accommodating and my coaching staff as well as the entire management in the club treated me so well.

“I was fed with lots of Indian dishes and most importantly I was shown real love.

“I can’t wait to get started already.”

Coach Ibrahim is the founder and proprietor of MHI Sports Academy Abuja, founded in 2020.

He led MD Football Academy to Morocco for a u16 youth tournament.

After his return from India the talented gaffer had spells in the UAE where he coached Al gharbia sports club and other teams here in Nigeria such as Tikitaka International FC, HB academy, N-youth Sports academy all in Abuja and MD football academy in ogun state.
