Niger Tornadoes Bala wary of Santoba FC de Conakry threat
Niger Tornadoes gaffer Abubakar Bala says his team are well focused ahead of today’s Caf Confederation Cup first leg preliminary round against Santoba at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Bala led Tornadoes to second place finish at the 2019 Aiteo Cup after losing to Kano Pillars 3-4 on penalties.
Bala told www.freekicknaija.com.ng that they are concerned about their opponent threat (Santoba) but quick was quick to say his charges are mentally prepared to curtail whatever the Guineans throw to then on Saturday evening.
“Santoba finished third in the Guinea Ligue 1 and this shows they are not a small team and cannot be underated.
“We are well prepared to nail the Guineans. “We have reinforce the team technically and tactically and played some couple of test games, we are good to go.
When asked if he has knowledge of his opponent, Bala replied: “We have not gotten much information about them, but the little we have gotten, we have worked hard to capitalise on their weak areas.
“Am yet to watch any of their video clips but we have worked on the little information we have gather but not relying totally on it.
“We have perfected our strategy and I told my boys to work as a unit if we are to win emphatically,” the former Kwara United coach to www.freekicknaija.com
