NPFL: Andrew Ikefe Targets Two More Goals Before Season Ending

With just four games left to the end of the 2021-22 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL Plateau United center back Andrew Ikefe says his target is to score two more goals to end his season.

Ikefe while speaking with FreekickNaija in a chat from Jos opined that the overall target is for the team to finish well in the league and not necessarily is personal achievement.

The former Kwara United player scored his second goal of the season against Gombe United last Sunday while his first goal of the season was against his former side, Niger Tornadoes in match day 21.

Ikefe has also made two assist for his side against Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars on match days 16 and 32 respectively.

“Which ever way the team comes first. “My personal target is secondary but as a team we want to finish well at the end of the season,” said Ikefe.

“As a player, you always want to set a personal target to help you raise your game. The overall objective of the team for the season supersedes any individual target but I want to finish the league with two more goals.”

Plateau United occupies the second position in the league with 10 points adrift of table toppers Rivers United.
