NWFL: Glory Ogbonna set for emotional return to Akwa Ibom, targets maximum points

Edo Queens skipper and Super Falcons left back Glory Ogbonna will be making an emotional return to Uyo when Edo Queens be the guest Ibom Angels on Wednesday.

Ogbonna joined Edo Queens from Ibom Angels in October of 2020 after years of dedicated service

“Going to my former club, that I served over 6years is very emotional for me,” Ogbonna to FreeKickNaija.

“I (Ogbonna) was at home in Akwa Ibom, I have fond memories of my time there and I made family within the club.”

Edo Queens are placed third in the league standings and Ogbonna is expected to lead the Benin-based queens despite her ties with her former team.

Ogbonna harped on the Importance of victory for the the trophy chasing team.

“It’s just for us to win, because the three point matters a lot for us to keep climbing the log.

“Others teams are also doing well and we need to keep up with them. We are determined and well focused to win and get the three maximum point, that the plan.”
