OFFICIAL: Francis Momoh extends Grasshopper CZ deal until 2024

Francis Momoh has extended his contract with Grasshopper Club Zurich until 2024, the club announced on their official website shortly after a brief ceremony.


The Nigerian forward moved from the Nigeria Professional Football League club Heartland FC to Zurich in 2019 and played mainly in the GC U21 during these two years. In the current season, the 20-year-old striker was able to score one goal and one assist in eight competitive appearances.


“Shortly after the contract signing formalities, Seyi Olofinjana, Technical Director at the Grasshopper Club Zurich stated that they are delighted to work with the young player and is looking forward to a good collaboration with the player.


“We are happy to be able to lay the foundation for a young but very competitive team for the future with Momoh. The Grasshopper Club Zurich is looking forward to further collaboration with Francis Momoh”, said Seyi Olofinjana said.


On his part, Francis Momoh noted that he is willing to work hard and contribute positively to his team and make his presence count.
“Done and dusted. Only God made it possible and I am always ready to give my best for the team to win. Thanks to my family and real friends for the constant support”, he stated.
After leaving the shores of Nigeria in 2019, Grasshopper Club Zurich is his first club abroad.
