A board member at the Ekiti State Sports Council, Mrs Olusola Osetoba has commiserated with Ekiti United after their bus was involved in a road mishap while returning from training on Tuesday evening along Ikere-Ado road.
“We returned all glory to God for the divine protection of all the occupants of the Ekiti United bus that was involved in an accident on Tuesday,” said Osetoba.
Osetoba who visited the players and staff affected by the accident on Wednesday said the State was lucky not to have recorded any casualty nor death in the accident.
While praying for speedy recovery of the players and staff, Osetoba urged the Nigeria National League, NNL to postpone the league game between Ekiti United and Rovers of Calabar this weekend based on doctors advice that all affected players and staffs should rest for some days and avoid tedious work.
The Ekiti Sport Council female board member praised the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi for rising to the occasion by directing health workers to attend to the affected players.
Osetoba expressed optimism that Ekiti United will come back stronger urging all sport lovers to keep praying for the team.
