Osun United Protest Over Use Of Home Referee In NNL Game Against Vandrezzer

Mr Vincent Akinbami, the senior special Assistant to the governor of osun state has cried foul over the referees appointment , replacement of one the officials and the manner at which the Officiating went in it match against vandressa on Friday in Lagos in one of the week four matches of the Nigeria National league.

Speaking after the teams 4-2 loss to Vandressa in Lagos on Friday, Akinbami said that it was wrong for a referee from Lagos to act as the line man in a match that involved a team from Lagos, ” it unheard off,if we had known before the match started,we won’t have played, the game had started before we were informed,we had to respect the league board that was why we continued

The same lineman cancelled one of our goal scored from a free kick, we had two questionable penalties against us,trust Lagos fans ,they all complained and booed the referee.

He added that part of what discourage fans from coming to watch matches in the Nigeria league is because of the poor officiating seen in the league, something drastic would have to be done to bring back fans to the stadium.

We have a good team that doesn’t respect home or away venues and we still put our eyes on picking the sole tickets to the premier league

I want to call for stiff sanctions for referees that get influenced to officiate.
