Paul Samson confident of victory at nest of Champions

Abia Warriors of Umuahia will today at the ‘Nest of Champions’ trade tackles with Akwa United in one of the NPFL rescheduled matchday 2 fixture.

The Promise Keepers who snapped up experienced players in the Nigeria Professional League to their ranks kicked off the new season with a hard earned away draw to newly prompted side Warri Wolves while the Umuahia landlords equally clinched their first maximum point of the season with a convincing win over resilient Katsina United at the Umuahia Township Stadium. 

The game promises to be exciting one as both team gaffers are of the tiki taka style of play philosophy which will thus  make the game filled with lots of  breathtaking skills, with most of the actions in the middle of the park.

Dashing Abia Warriors winger Paul Samson in a media chat with AWFC Media department after the team light workout session at the Godswill  Akpabio stadium divulged the readiness and resolution among his mates to give the ‘Promise keepers’ a run for their money.

“We are in Uyo for business and we are confident of a positive result.

 Akwa United are not push overs though owing to the ‘big names’ the team parades but we are not frightened by such as we will put in our very best to give our travelling fans something to take home “
